NIRI and Ipreo to Offer Global Investor Relations Practices Seminar

ORLANDO, Fla – The National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) today announced that it will offer a new Global IR Practices Seminar in partnership with Ipreo, a leading global provider of market intelligence and productivity solutions to corporations and investment banks. This new seminar will be a two-day event focused on leading practices for accessing investors outside of an issuer's country, including in depth coverage of practices to engage U.S. investors.

“Education is a key benefit of NIRI membership,” said NIRI President and CEO Jeffrey D. Morgan. “It gives us great pleasure to meet the unique needs of our global NIRI members by offering this new, leading-edge, practices-based seminar. It is the type of educational offering that has defined NIRI’s success over forty-plus years, and we are delighted to offer it in partnership with Ipreo.”

Chris Taylor, EVP and MD of Global Investor Relations at Ipreo, said, “Driving a successful IR program in the U.S. markets can be very challenging to non-U.S. firms – not simply from a regulatory/compliance perspective, but really in terms of understanding and applying ‘best practices’ when it comes to finding the right investors, telling a compelling story, and navigating local market & industry trends. We’re pleased to be able to help provide an educational forum specifically tailored to the needs of non-U.S. companies.”

The new Global IR Practices Seminar will be held in Miami, Florida from November 16-18, 2011. Targeted primarily to non-U.S. issuers interested in practices to engage U.S. investors, highlights will include:

• Interactive breakout discussions lead by experienced IROs with successful global IR programs;
• Interactive real-world case studies focused on attendee’s companies;
• Understanding U.S. buy-side perceptions of non-U.S. companies.
